Condones gratuitos en la Gran Manzana

El Departamento de Salud de Nueva York anunció ayer la creación de una nueva aplicación para celulares Android y iPhone que facilitará localizar los establecimientos que distribuyen condones gratuitos en la ciudad.

Según el comunicado de prensa del Departamento de Salud, esta aplicación mostrará las direcciones para llegar hasta cualquiera de los cinco establecimientos que participan de este programa de distribución de condones libre de costo.

“The NYC Condom Finder is a useful tool to ensure that New Yorkers have access to free condoms wherever they are in the city,” said Dr. Thomas Farley, New York City Health Commissioner. “Using a condom every time you have sex protects you and your partner from contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Condoms also prevent unintended pregnancy. We encourage New Yorkers to stay safe on Valentine’s Day – and everyday – by using condoms.”

Según la agencia Reuters, la ciudad de Nueva York ha repartido un promedio de 3 millones de condones gratuitos por mes, durante los pasados 5 años.
