A pesar de haber una demanda en su contra, Apple fue normalmente como otro lunes en la semana en cuanto al caso de que Fortnite violento las políticas del App Store en tratar de colar un sistema de cobro externo a él.
Una moción en la demanda de Epic Games contra Apple agregó solicitud a la Corte del Norte de California de cese y desista contra Apple, ya que la gigante de Cupertino notificó formalmente a Epic Games de la terminación de su cuenta de desarrollador para el 28 de Agosto.
Prácticamente es un comunicado que Apple indica que tiene hasta el 27 de Agosto para remover las cosas que violan su reglamento del App Store y obviamente, hablamos del sistema de cobros de V-Bucks fuera de Fortnite.

– Pre-release versions of iOS, iPad OS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS
– Pre-release versions of beta tools such as Reality Composer, Create ML, Apple Configurator, etc.
– Notarization service for macOS apps
– App Store Connect platform and support (for example, assistance with account transition, password reset, app name issues)
– TestFlight
– Access to provisioning portal for certificate generation, and provisioning profile generation
– Ability to enable Apple services in-app (i.e. Apple Pay, CloudKit, PassKit, Music Kit, HomeKit, Push Notifications, Siri Shortcuts, Sign in with Apple, kernel extensions, FairPlay Streaming)
– Access to Apple-issued keys for connecting to services such as MusicKit, DeviceCheck, APNs, CloudKit, Wallet
– Access to Developer ID signing certificates and Kernel Extension signing certificates
– Developer Technical Support
– Participation in Universal App Quick Start Program, including the right to use the Developer Transition Kit (which must be returned to Apple)
– Engineering efforts to improve hardware and software performance of Unreal Engine on Mac and iOS hardware; optimize Unreal Engine on the Mac for creative workflows, virtual sets and their CI/Build Systems; and adoption and support of ARKit features and future VR features into Unreal Engine by their XR team

Además del cese y desista, Epic Games está solicitando a la corte que Apple no abuse de ser dueño de su plataforma y que ordene a Apple a devolver a Fortnite en el App Store sin ninguna modificación a su código.
Mientras se redacta esto, no ha habido una confirmación o reacción de parte de Apple y continúa la batalla y es probable que escuchemos novedades del lado de Google quien también fue demandado por Epic Games por la misma situación pero en Android.
